Old Palaces. New Stories. A City Alive.

At the heart of Karnataka lies Mysore — a city that’s not just visited, it’s felt. The glow of the Mysore Palace, the rhythm of Ashtanga Yoga, the scent of sandalwood in its alleys — this itinerary is about time travel with texture. Tuktuk rides through royal streets, temple steps at dawn, and a side of biryani on a banana leaf. Welcome to the regal and relaxed rhythm of South India’s cultural capital.

One city. Many layers. Here’s how.

Day 1 – Bangalore: The Southern Welcome

Land at Kempegowda International Airport and settle into a plush stay in Bangalore. Rest, recalibrate — the South opens up tomorrow.

Day 2 – Mysore by Sunset Lights

Drive to Mysore (5 hrs), breaking for filter coffee, crisp dosas, and temple towns en route. If it’s a Sunday, be there in time for the golden hour — when the Mysore Palace lights up in a thousand bulbs.

Day 3 – Tuktuk Tours & Street Food Trails

Explore the city like a local. Hop onto a tuktuk, guided by a native storyteller. End your day with a guided heritage walk that winds through Mysore’s streets and flavours. Expect samosas, spice, and stories.

Day 4 – Hills, Gods & Market Finds

Early morning, visit Chamundi Hill — climb 1000 steps or drive up. Catch the sunrise behind Nandi Bull, then indulge in a real Mysore Masala Dosa. Post lunch, dive into local bazaars — sandalwood, silk, incense, and bidi making await.

Day 5 – Into Srirangapatna’s Legacy

A day trip to the nearby island town of Srirangapatna. Visit Tipu Sultan’s summer palace and one of South India’s oldest Vaishnavite temples. River Kaveri surrounds this town, with echoes of a powerful past.

Day 6 – Leisure with a Side of Yoga

Free day. Visit Gokulam — Mysore’s global yoga hub. Culinary classes, massages, artisanal shops, or a cafe hop. Slow down. Absorb.

Day 7 – Back to Bangalore

Drive back to Bangalore (5 hrs). Optional one-night stay before your flight. Let the journey settle before you fly home.
