Mysore, Hassan & Nileshwar*

Temples. Traditions. Tranquility.

Easy
From regal Mysore to temple-studded Hassan to the laid-back beaches of Nileshwar, this road trip dives into the spiritual and architectural richness of Karnataka before slipping into the coastal rhythm of North Kerala. Expect tuk-tuks, biryani on banana leaves, ancient temples, Jain marvels, and long afternoons of Ayurvedic rest.

One ride, three stories. Here’s how.
Day 1 – Fort Kochi: Easy Entry
Land in Kochi and settle into a charming hotel in Fort Kochi. Walk around colonial streets and absorb the calm. This is your soft landing.
Day 2 – Mysore: On the Royal Road
Drive to Mysore (5 hrs), breaking for dosas and filter coffee. Reach by evening — just in time for the iconic Sunday illumination of the Mysore Palace.
Day 3 – The Tuk-Tuk Chronicles
Explore Mysore by tuktuk with a local guide. Visit heritage spots, snack on samosas, and wrap it up with a guided city walk and local dinner.
Day 4 – Hilltop Temples & Silk Bazaars
Start early and head to Chamundi Hills. Choose between climbing 1000 steps or a drop-off at the temple gates. Post breakfast, spend the rest of the day in Mysore’s markets or visiting local workshops.
Day 5 – Srirangapatna: Rivers, Forts & Faith
A short drive out of town to explore Srirangapatna — Tipu Sultan’s summer palace, temples, and riverfront views.
Day 6 – Hassan: Into the Temple Belt
Drive to Hassan. En route, stop at Shravanabelagola to visit the giant Bahubali statue. Reach your village retreat by lunch. Chill for the rest of the day.
Day 7 – Belur & Halebidu: The Hoysala Trail
Morning departure with a guide to explore Karnataka’s most intricate temple carvings at Belur and Halebidu. Evening at leisure with optional cookery classes, bullock cart rides, or Ayurveda sessions.
Day 8 – Nileshwar: And Breathe
Drive down to Nileshwar beach (approx. 4.5 hrs). Check into your coastal resort and let the calm take over. Swim, laze, stretch, or just exist.
Day 9–13 – Beach, Backwaters, & Bliss
Your time here is yours. Houseboat cruises, Ayurvedic massages, village treks, or just walking barefoot on golden sand. If you’re lucky, you might catch the dramatic Theyyam festival.
Day 14 – Departure
Drive to Mangalore airport (2.5 hrs). Tour ends.
