First, Marari Beach - which really was the perfect beach for yoga, massage, swimming and watching both sunset and full moon set over the warm Laccadive Sea. Festival, river trip, dance and delicious Keralan meals. Then the tea plantations at Munnar -
breathtaking panoramic views and a morning chorus from the virtuoso Malabar whistling-thrush. 2018 Tour of Mysore and planning visit to Kerala to sample different locations with a view of coming back with groups. Mountain Trail advised us where to go and found perfect locations that took all our very specific needs and demands into account, such as sole use of venues. They arranged all of our travel both local and interstate and set up meetings for us with resort managers as well as a few days pure holiday. We had a wonderful visit to Mysore with everything taken care of as well as an overnight stay on the Kerala Backwaters and various hotels and resorts at Fort Kochi and Marari Beach to find location to bring a group back to.
2019 We arranged a fabulous Yoga and Meditation Holiday in Kerala through Mountain Trail. This was for a group of 22 people. We stayed in Fort Kochi and Marari Beach. Mountain Trail took care of absolutely everything for us including arranging activities for us such as massage, sari dressing, mehendi tattoos, dance performance etc. They did absolutely all of the pre-negotiating on our behalf and set up lovely relations with the managers of the resorts we stayed at. The resorts we stayed at were PERFECT and our very particular requests were all catered for from the food we ate to the arrangement of furniture!! Mountain Trail arranged for yoga mats and blocks to be available and advised on what to bring and not bring! A magical day on the Backwaters with lunch was arranged on our behalf and my special request for 2 boats was easily honoured. All of our travel was arranged including Airport and resort transit. Mountain Trail welcomed us in person and greeted our group with us at the Airport. Many of the group used their services to afterwards extend their visits to explore other parts of Kerala and South India.
2020 Repeated the above trip! 2019 was such a success that we repeated the trip staying at the same resorts again with a large group of 20. We actually offered exactly the same trip as everything had been very smooth. In many ways it was better still this time as the Resort Managers knew us and were even more tuned in to our needs. For example the care and service offered to us at the resorts was absolutely phenomenal. We included a holiday afterwards that Mountain Trail arranged for us staying at a Homestay at the Backwaters and then going on to Munnar. Our travel and accommodation was all arranged for us as well as transit back to the airport at the end of our stay. We had a fabulous driver and Mountain travel contacted us daily to check all was well.
2023 Holiday post-covid and planning trip. We returned to Kerala to see how things were post Covid. Mountain Trail arranged accommodation and set up meetings for us with the resort managers with a view of returning with a group 2024. All ran very smoothly with the impeccable efficiency we had come to expect from Mountain Trail. From here they also arranged travel for me to Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu and back to Kochi Airport.
